Q: What precautions are your employees taking against COVID-19?

At Dr. Cool, our professionals follow best practices every time they enter a home or business on a service call.

Beginning with your first call to our company, we gather as much information as possible before we go to the job. We will set up a process for how you want our employees to enter and leave your home or business, and how they can remain at a reasonable distance during the job.

Q: Are you offering the same services during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Please look at the front of our website for specific hours and other information regarding services. Some work is being delayed, but we can still schedule tune-ups and inspections for air conditioners, humidifiers, and heat pumps. We know how important these systems are going to be when the temperatures heat up.

If you have an older model, a good tune-up will help keep it going all summer. The sooner you call us, the quicker we can get you on the schedule! We promise to get to these jobs as soon as we can.

We remain available for emergency repair calls. Our technicians carry a large supply of inventory in their service vehicles so we can do the job quickly and correctly.

Interested in a new product? Our team can work with you online to answer all questions about products, pricing, warranties, and installation.

Q: Do you sell products that kill viruses?

Studies have shown that ultraviolet (UV) lights can reduce the presence of SARS and MERS , two viruses that are similar to COVID-19. It is too early to say if UV lights have any effect on this latest strand of the coronavirus.

Many of these UV lighting systems are used in hospitals and industrial facilities around the country. Similar to air purifiers and other whole-house air filtration systems, they are proven at maintaining indoor air quality.

Remember, these systems maintain a healthy air quality but do not prevent anyone from getting infected. Coronavirus can survive many days on a surface, such as a door handle or countertop. Good hygiene also plays a critical role in your health.

Q: What other indoor air quality services do you offer?

Please scroll the menu on the front of our website for all the services and products we provide. Maintaining your HVAC equipment is a huge factor in your indoor air quality. Change your air filters regularly and keep your air ducts sealed and cleaned to keep your system running at peak efficiency.

Indoor air quality equipment can be designed to adjust temperatures and relative humidity, remove stale air and eliminate airborne contaminants. In many cases, this equipment attaches to your air ducts and other parts of your HVAC equipment, which is why we recommend having one of our certified and insured professionals at Dr. Cool  do the installation work.
